CLC Youth High School Ministry
High schoolers are invited to Youth Group on Wednesdays 7-9pm. We meet throughout the school year. There are a few dates that we will not meet due to the other youth activities. Please check the church calendar for those dates.
High School Youth Ministry is open to students in 9th-12th Grade.
Each year we have a summer Youth Trip, one summer we go on a high school mission trip, another summer we do an intergenerational trip, and the third summer we go to the ELCA Youth Gathering. If you are interested in attending please let Heather know.

Youth Gathering 2024
We’re heading to New Orleans in 2024!
We’re jazzed to announce that we’re heading to New Orleans for the 2024 ELCA Youth Gathering, MYLE and the tAble! The Big Easy is filled with rich history, friendly locals, amazing food and great music, and we just can’t wait to go back. Mark your calendars for July 16-20, 2024, to join us for this transformational faith formation event. Youth (8th – 12th graders in fall of 2023) may attend. Registration will begin this fall!

What is the Gathering?
Every three years, thousands of high school youth and their adult leaders from across the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America gather for a week of faith formation known as the ELCA Youth Gathering. Through days spent in interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service and fellowship, young people grow in faith and are challenged and inspired to live their faith in their daily lives.
The Gathering’s mission of faith formation in young people is the hub from which all things come for MYLE, the tAble and the Gathering. Our goal is to create environments and opportunities for faith formation through worship, interactive learning, Bible study, service and fellowship. While some of the experiences can be replicated at home, some are unique and special to the Gathering because of the size and scope of this ministry.
Wherever it happens, we know that this is a powerful and transformational ministry if you are brave enough to let your guard down long enough for the Spirit to enter in, if you can be quiet long enough to listen to someone different from yourself, if your prayer is to be open to what God is calling you to, if you realize the strong roots of a community will ground you no matter the strength of life’s storms, if you imagine yourself as part of something bigger than you.
